Its hard to get flies to wait long enough for you to make their portrait, but luckily I had just enough time to snap a photo of this one sitting on a sunflower leaf before it flew away.

If you scroll down a few post, you will see my picture of a tiger stripped centipede. This photo features one that looks similar to a leopard. We found him crawling around on rocks in the middle of a hiking trial in the middle of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I’ve never seen a centipede with color markings like this! Its color patterns look very similar to that on a tiger. I captured this photo near a waterfall during our trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway this May.
I captured this bumble bee flying away from the flowers to the right. This is one of my best action shots.
Bees are hard to photograph because the move from flower to flower so quickly. I managed to capture this large bumble bee as he was eating from one of the our blueberry bush’s spring flowers.
I found this wasp sitting on one of our fig trees leaves. I was able to capture for the first time a good picture of a wasp.
