I found this tree fungus growing on one of our dog wood trees. It blended in with the bark well, considering how much this type of fungus stands out on other varieties of trees.

Mushrooms sprout up everywhere in woods and our yard during the spring. This one especially caught my attention, and made on of my best mushroom pictures.
This fungus grows on the majority of the trees in our yard. It made a good photograph.
I photographed these peculiar growths on a dead tree in the Alabama Lake Guntersville St. Park. I think they might be some type of fungus.
